Douglas Moreland, Principal

Mr. Moreland’s background spans New York, Miami, Texas, Brazil, and the Caribbean, where he has led development, acquisition, capitalization, and asset management efforts across office, residential, hospitality, retail, and large-scale mixed-use projects. Prior to founding Moreland Capital Partners, he spent 15 years at Hines, serving as Managing Director in New York and in senior leadership roles in São Paulo, Miami, and Atlanta. During this time, he worked on some of the world’s most complex real estate developments, including One Vanderbilt in Midtown Manhattan, where he was deeply involved in design management, underwriting, leasing strategy, and the capitalization of more than $2 billion in equity and debt financing.
